Using CT, high quality 3D images are obtained and can evaluate most anatomic structures for disease. CT can identify lesions as small as 0.2mm. This is a great adjunct to traditional imaging methods, such as x-rays and ultrasound. CT is a cutting edge diagnostic tool to evaluate patients for cancerous masses, lymph node enlargement, abnormal blood vessels, bone and joint problems, dental disease, and even some brain diseases.
CT also greatly enhances the imaging capabilities of exotic patients, who can be difficult to image with x-rays and ultrasound.
